I have lived here in the city of Boston since 2002 when I was a freshman at Northeastern University. Back in the fall, while I was contemplating a relocation, I realized my city has so much to offer and in the fourteen (!) years I’ve lived here, I’ve only experienced a small part of it. So I started to assemble an exciting little list of all the things I haven’t seen or done here in Boston. I came up with a clever little name for it: Boston Bucket List – which is waaaaay original, I know, and here it is:
- Attend a Beanpot Finals Game
- Visit the Sam Adams Brewery
- Take a ride on the Swan Boats
- Attend the Southie St. Patty’s Day parade – o.k., I’m not super pumped to do this, but I feel obliged to at least check it out.
- Experience Codzilla
- Check-out the Maparium at the Christian Science Center
- Attend a Celtics game
- Skate on Frog Pond
- Watch the Head of the Charles
- Attend a Boston Symphony Orchestra performance
- Attend Harpoonfest
- Have a beer (or two!) at the original Cheers bar on Beacon Street
- Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
- Check out the Science Museum (truth be told, I’ve done this…but not since like 5th grade!)
Finally, there’s one Bucket List item that I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to achieve, but I’d like to put it on here anyway. One day…some day, I’d like to run the Boston Marathon. It would be the ultimate accomplishment and an amazing finale to this little project of mine. Stay tuned…
